My love for krafting started during my high school years, where I was taught counted cross-stitch. It was so much fun that a few years later, I started to teach others (kids in particular), how to cross-stitch.

Then at around the age of 18 or 19, I taught myself how to knit out of a book (this was way before Youtube). I dabbled with knitting on and off for about 9 years. At the age of 27, I started to get into knitting a little more. I went from novice/beginner to confident beginner.

Then in December of 2012, the world of knitting totally changed for me. In search of a knitting group, I went onto Meetup.com and found Mountain Highway Knitters. I went to my first meeting December 5, 2012. In my "naive thinking"; what I thought was a dying art, turned out to be just a closeted art.

Within a few short months, I learned that knitting and crochet was NOT a closeted art but that it was still very much alive. I started learning about different types of yarns (not just Red Heart or Caron’s) and different types of needles (not just Boye or Susan Bates). I also started learning that there were yarn shops, yarn shops that catered to knitters and crocheters.

In the years since, I have become an accomplished knitter and an intermediate crocheter. And in the last four years or so have taught knitting and crocheting on and off.

My love for this hobby has become a passion. Now I am ready for my next adventure…

This is to share my passion with YOU!
